Public Health Africa


This project will introduce participants to the role of the U.S. federal, state and municipal government agencies and nongovernmental organizations in developing and implementing public health programs and policies. Participants will examine U.S. grassroots, state and federal policies and educational outreach on a variety of infectious diseases including, Ebola, HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria. They will also explore additional topics, including maternal and child health, public healthcare financing, and best practices in public health surveillance, laboratory science, disease detection, outbreak response, and health research.
