Are you interested in seeing what Global Ties KC has to offer? Do you have a friend who needs to hear about us? Well our 2024 State of the Organization event is the perfect opportunity to learn about all that Global Ties KC does to promote citizen diplomacy in the region, and discover how you can be more involved!

Join us for an informal social hour and speaking program by Courtney Brooks, President & CEO, to hear about the current state of affairs at Global Ties KC. This event is appropriate for any person previously engaged with the organization or looking to learn more about us for the first time. Attendees can expect a full meal, available drinks, and meeting new people and old friends. You will hear first about exciting opportunities to be at the forefront of putting Kansas City on the global map and how to engage with the world as they come to our community.

Grab another drink and meet us in The Kiva, named after the traditional meeting spaces of the Pueblo Indians, a dynamic, informal theater-in-the-round.

6:30-7:00 pm – Program: State of the Organization

Courtney Brooks, Global Ties KC President & CEO, will present on current programs, strategies, successes, and trends of the organization. Additionally, attendees will receive insider insight into future plans and goals to move the organization forward into our 70th Anniversary.

7:00-7:45 pm – Bar Open

  1. What is the dress code?

    Come as you are! Casual to business casual are all appropriate.

  2. What is the parking situation?

    There is limited parking (approximately 20 spaces) within the Diastole Scholars’ Center complex. Just follow the driveway, and as it curves to the right you will see the parking lot.

  3. Where is the entrance to the Diastole?

    The entrance to the Diastole parking area is located just south of 25th Street, on the right (E) side of the street. The main entrance can be found down the driveway, where the parking spots are located.
