Heartland Welcome Dinner

Join Global Ties KC at 2000 Vine for a vibrant party for out-of-town and local guests to meet and network, listen to live music, and feast their heart out on barbeque from a variety of famous local restaurants as we set the stage for DBH Kansas City. Included in your ticket is all-you-can-eat BBQ samplings (along with other side dishes). A cash bar will be available for drinks from Vine Street Brewing — Please note: Photo ID is required for alcoholic beverage purchases.

2000 Vine was Kansas City’s first public works building, located in the historic 18th and Vine District, before being abandoned. Today, 2000 Vine is a catalyst for culture in Kansas City and an amazing event venue.

About the Diplomacy Begins Here Summit (DBH): The Diplomacy Begins Here Summits will bring together local, national, and international leaders from business, government, and nonprofit sectors to build and foster connections in the international exchange community and celebrate the critical role that public and citizen diplomacy programs play in advancing U.S. foreign policy goals.

Open to the general public, the Diplomacy Begins Here Regional Summit on September 21 will focus on integrating foreign policy and domestic policy through the lens of the Heartland. It will especially highlight all of the ways the heartland has historically and currently plays a significant role in connecting local communities to foreign policy.
