Heartland Youth Diplomacy Summit

Global Ties KC believes in the power of citizen diplomacy; the idea that everyone has the right and responsibility to engage with the international community. However, the opportunity to do so is not evenly distributed. Often, Americans think of diplomacy as conducted by politicians in Washington DC. However, the skills needed to operate in a globalized world are needed more than ever in all communities across the country, specifically in rural ones throughout the Heartland.

That is why Global Ties KC has created the Heartland Youth Diplomacy Summit. A full-day conference focused on activating students across Missouri and Kansas to consider international issues and develop professional skills to thrive in a globalized world. Participants will walk away better prepared to articulate themselves in professional settings regarding key-global issues the world is facing.

This Summit will be held virtually via Zoom, requiring a functioning audio and visual system. Microphone and camera are highly encouraged for full participation and experience.
